Safety is a big concern. Only trained persons should respond to possible situations of human trafficking. Do not try to ?rescue.? It could be dangerous for both you and individual. Make a referral to trained social agencies. See below

For immediate emergency assistance with situations of human trafficking call the RCMP 1-800-387-0020 (24 hours).

If a woman is being sexually abused or physically assaulted, there is a 24 hour emergency crisis line 1-800-265-1576.
For French service call 1-800-387-8603.
Women who need emergency shelter may call 519-642-3000.

If you are working in Canada without immigration status, and feel that you are trapped and exploited, you can ask for confidential help.
